Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Primary Repair With Synthetic Augmentation and Fixation With the Knotless Suture Anchor

چکیده

An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is one of the most common injuries in athletes. The arthroscopic ACL reconstruction procedure gold standard for treatment. However, improvement injury classification and suture materials has subsequently made primary repair an alternative surgical treatment option. This Technical Note describes with synthetic augmentation several high-strength sutures fixation knotless anchor. reinforced material acts as a structural tie to support while it heals.

Arthroscopic Primary Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair With Suture Augmentation

Historically, poor results of open primary repair of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries have been reported. In hindsight, however, appropriate patient selection (i.e. proximal tears and good tissue quality) was not performed, because it has recently been recognized that good outcomes of primary ACL repair are possible when selectively performed in patients with proximal tears and good ti...

Arthroscopic Primary Posterior Cruciate Ligament Repair With Suture Augmentation

Isolated posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries are relatively rare and PCL injuries most commonly occur in the setting of multiligamentous knee injuries. PCL injuries can be treated with primary repair, which has the advantages of preserving the native tissue, maintaining proprioception, and minimal invasive surgery when compared with reconstruction surgery. Historically, primary repair of...

Primary Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair With Augmentation

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears are usually managed by reconstruction with autograft or allograft, but primary repair in carefully selected patients is a reasonable option. Proximal avulsions presenting early with excellent tissue quality are amenable to repair and healing. Restoration of native ACL preserves its proprioceptive and kinematic functions. A repair is less invasive and avoid...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Preservation: Early Results of a Novel Arthroscopic Technique for Suture Anchor Primary Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair.

PURPOSE To propose a technique of arthroscopic suture anchor primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) preservation for patients with proximal avulsion ACL tears that maintain excellent tissue quality. METHODS We performed a retrospective review and early follow-up of 11 consecutive cases of ACL preservation. Patients were included if they had a proximal avulsion tear and excellent tissue qual...

Arthroscopic Repair of the Lateral Ulnar Collateral Ligament of the Elbow Using a Knotless Suture Anchor

The lateral collateral ligament (LCL) complex of the elbow plays a crucial role in the stability of the elbow joint, especially to varus loads. Deficiency of particularly the lateral ulnar collateral component of the LCL can lead to chronic posterolateral rotatory instability, which can be functionally debilitating and can lead to a rapid onset of early degenerative arthritis. Commonly, in the ...
